Moving to the Dark Side

Darth Vader has nothing on me. I here and now confess that I have succumbed to temptation from the Dark Side, at least as seen through the eyes of a radio lover.

You see, over the last several months I have been developing a show in conjunction with Rogers Community – gasp – Television. Yes, you read that correctly. Television. Obviously I’ve been corrupted from my radio purity.

The show looks like it is a go. To start it will be a “mini-series”, probably six episodes, and each episode will showcase York Region musicians. I’ll be the host and each episode will be a mixture of interview and musical performance. I’ve already got a number of excellent musicians on board for the project, but I still need some more.

That’s actually why I’m blogging about this now – if you’re a musician living in York Region please contact me (jim @ yourownpodcast . com), or if you know of someone have them contact me. I’m especially looking for some high school “garage bands”.

Ah well, even Darth Vader found redemption.
