Welcome to the WhiStle Radio blog. Let’s share thoughts about programming, radio, Whitchurch-Stouffville … whatever.

To kick things off:

Mention the words “a radio station for Stouffville” and energy starts to flow. Not too long ago, Stouffville was very “small town Ontario”. Now we see ourselves being swallowed up in the tremendous growth in the GTA. A radio station – WhiStle Radio – provides a way for us to celebrate our particular history, to nurture the talent of tomorrow, to listen to talk and music that is directly relevant to our lives. 

Many people and groups – from small business owners, Town Council, fans of the local hockey team, service clubs, musicians – have shown their support in different ways: financially, donations of their time and talent, and with very positive letters and e-mails. This town wants a radio station that brings us together, that is local, and whose interests are in line with our citizens. WhiStle Radio, as a not-for-profit, volunteer driven organization, strives to bring the type of programming that will reach out to the many different individuals and groups in our community.
